Real McArthur is a small Australian family business. Every product we make starts the same way: real Australian fruit, real organic ingredients, and no petroleum jelly, ever. Cruelty-free, inspired by nature, and made with nourishing ingredients — this page brings together our whole natural skincare range in one place.

Looking for organic skincare? Ours is made with certified organic paw paw and certified organic aloe vera juice as ingredients.

From Tom to Darren: one family, one set of ingredients

Darren McArthur is the son of Tom McArthur, known to thousands across Australia as the Paw Paw Man. Tom’s original paw paw formulations were featured on Today Tonight, and Darren continues them today, made with Tom’s blessing, from the family’s farm in the Northern Territory. Nothing about the family recipes has been outsourced or watered down — the same organic paw paw, the same honesty about what’s actually in the bottle, inspired by nature rather than a laboratory.

It took Darren over twenty years to get the McArthur Natural Products name back — his father held it first, and when the registration lapsed, Darren claimed it back for the family, to carry on and pass down.

Paw Paw Hand Cream & Magnesium Body Cream

A luxurious, everyday moisturiser for dry skin, hands, elbows, heels and feet — the whole family in one 200ml pump. The base is 60% organic paw paw extract and skin-loving magnesium chloride, on certified organic aloe vera juice instead of water. Blended through it: organic coconut oil, organic shea butter, organic cocoa butter, native quandong extract, Davidson plum, natural vitamin E, macadamia oil and organic camellia oil — nourishing ingredients found in nature, not a factory. Vegan and cruelty-free: no beeswax, no lanolin, no animal ingredients, never tested on animals, and never petroleum jelly.

Paw Paw Face Cream with Hyaluronic Acid

A lighter face moisturiser built for the same honesty: 30% organic paw paw extract with hyaluronic acid, on a certified organic aloe vera base. It also carries organic Kakadu plum extract — one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C of any fruit on earth. Organic shea and cocoa butter add richness, with lavender, chamomile, ylang ylang and rose geranium for a natural aromatic finish. Cruelty-free and vegan, including plant-based hyaluronic acid — many brands use an animal-derived version, ours never does.

Kakadu Plum Capsules

140 capsules, Australian-grown, freeze-dried whole fruit — not a powder from overseas. Lab tested at 12.1% natural vitamin C, that’s 60mg of natural vitamin C in every 500mg capsule, more than an adult’s entire daily need of 45mg. Vitamin C contributes to normal immune system function, contributes to iron absorption from food, contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, is necessary for normal blood vessel structure and function, and contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin.

Why natural, not petroleum

Most well-known paw paw products on Australian shelves are built on a petroleum jelly base — they sit on the skin as a seal rather than sinking in. Every Real McArthur cream is built on certified organic aloe vera juice instead of water, with real fruit extract and nourishing plant oils doing the work, not petrolatum, paraffin or mineral oil. That’s a genuine, checkable difference in what’s on the ingredients label — inspired by nature, not a refinery.

Certified organic, cruelty-free, made in Australia

Like the leading Australian natural skincare brands, we lead with what’s actually true: certified organic ingredients, cruelty-free and vegan across the whole range, and every product made in Australia by our own family, in small batches, not mass-produced overseas.

Why We Built Our Natural Skincare Range on Organic Paw Paw

This section was its own article until 9 October 2026. It now lives here, in full.

When we started making skincare, we made one decision that shaped everything after it: the paw paw would be real, Australian, and from organic growers — or we wouldn’t make it at all.

Australia’s skincare fruit

Paw paw — known in many places as papaya — is a tropical fruit with soft golden flesh and a naturally nourishing reputation. For generations it has been part of Australia’s skincare story, in balms, creams and everyday care products. Organic paw paw is naturally rich in skin-loving compounds, including vitamins and antioxidants found in the fruit, and it’s valued in skincare for the way it helps support soft, smooth and comfortable-feeling skin. That’s why it has become such a trusted botanical ingredient in natural skincare — and why we built our whole range on it.

Real fruit, organic growers

Certified organic Australian paw paw — the fruit behind our natural skincare

The heart of every product we make is real Australian paw paw extract (also spelled pawpaw or papaw, and known as papaya, popo, or botanically Carica papaya) — not a powder shipped in from overseas, but fruit from Australian organic growers. That single choice is why the word “organic” means something on our labels instead of being decoration.

Where the organic ingredients show up

Look down our ingredients page and you’ll see it through the whole range:

And the whole formula carries less than 1% preservative — genuinely rare on today’s market.

What “natural skincare” means in practice

For us it’s simple tests, applied to every product: Is the base plant-derived, not petroleum? Is it vegan and cruelty-free — no beeswax, no honey, no animal ingredients? Are the ingredients listed openly, in full? Would we put it on our own family’s skin every day? If a product can’t pass all four, we don’t make it.

One philosophy, four products

What’s the difference between natural and organic skincare?

“Natural” speaks to where ingredients come from (plants, not petroleum). “Organic” speaks to how they were grown. We aim for both, and we show our working on the ingredients page.

Are the products vegan?
